We are pleased to announce a BRAND NEW service called 'Ricochet'.  The new service loans out mobile devices to adults with Autistic Spectrum Conditions, Learning and Physical Disabilities and those with Long Term Conditions.  The mobile devices come with pre-loaded 'Apps' and 'Bookmarks' to enable people to Access Information, Advice and Guidance.  This is a FREE service.

We are pleased to announce that we will shortly be delivering a new service in Hartlepool - We have called it 'The Magic Sponge'!!  The service will support disabled people, those with newly acquired disabilities and people with long-term conditions with information, advice and guidance to access screening programmes, IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) and 1:1 support that will empower people to live fuller lives.  Keep checking our website and social media pages for updates!!

We are pleased to announce Incontrol-able CIC have won the Commitment to Learning Award from the Open College Network North East Region.  The Award was presented to representatives of our Management Committee at the 20th Anniversary OCN Event at The Sage, Gateshead on Friday 21st March.  A huge 'well done' to everyone who participated in the courses!  Check out the photo in our Gallery!

Eye to Eye Event

We are working closely with Real Life Options, Association for Real Change and Community Integrated Care to hold an event in Hartlepool in May to raise the profile of jobs for people with learning disabilities.  Watch this space for further information .......

New Project

We are pleased to announce that we will be starting a new project soon!  The project is called 'My Health My Plan'.  It aims to support people with Learning Disabilities, Autistic Spectrum Conditions and Carers to undertake tasks and lifestyle changes identified in Health Action Plans.  The project will also provide 1:1 support and advice on how to access Annual Health Checks and look at the things that might be stopping you going for yours.  More information to follow.

FREE Training Update

We are pleased to confirm the new dates for our FREE Awareness Sessions. Between August and October this year we will be delivering six Awareness Sessions across Stockton and Hartlepool to raise the profile of Annual Health Checks for people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and their Carers.

The training will explore the barriers faced by people with ASC in accessing Annual Health Checks and how they can be overcome. There will also be specific sessions for provider services. See our Events Page for more information.


Stronger Voices, Strong Support

Our Members are now working closely with Darlington Association on Disability on their 'Stronger Voices, Strong Support' Project.  

This work will further enhance the knowledge base of the group, leading towards our goal of providing a peer support planning service to disabled people in Hartlepool.
